HEAT Check Gaming Enter Biggest Week Of Season

With their second BYE week of the season in the books, HEAT Check Gaming is ready to get back to work in Week 8 against Magic Gaming Thursday night at 6 PM ET and Jazz Gaming Friday night at 9 PM ET in what could be the most consequential pair of games yet for Famous Enough and the squad.

Game 1: HEAT Check Gaming (4-5) vs. Magic Gaming (5-4) – June 6 (6:00 PM ET, Watch live on Twitch and Youtube)

Sizing up Magic Gaming: Currently sitting at the 8th spot in the Standings at 5-4, Magic Gaming is on the up and up following their midseason trade for Toxsik from Grizz Gaming, as well as a stellar Week 7 performance where they went 2-0, defeating Raptors Uprising GC and 76ers GC.

Reizy was all business against those two teams, averaging 20.5 PPG and 11.5 APG while shooting 66% from the field, including a scorching 75% from three-point range as a Sharpshooting Playmaker (no wonder he earned Week 7 IntelGaming Player of the Week honors.)

KingCamRoyalty has also been on a tear in the paint, averaging 16 PPG and 11.5 RPG while shooting an extremely efficient 79% from the field.

Overall, Orlando appears to be getting hot at the right time, which means the squad will need to stay focused every possession to secure the ‘W’.

Key Matchup: Keep an eye on Hood at the point, who will likely be defended by Toxsik. The two played together in Season 1 on Cavs Legion GC, and with Hotshot as part of the iBall Empire group outside of the NBA 2K League.

Toxsik may not have scored very much in Week 7, but Orlando’s Pure Lockdown Defender held Radiant to just six points and seven assists, while helping force six turnovers in their win last week against 76ers GC.

The newest member of HEAT Check Gaming is due for a big game, and with what’s on the line for the season coming into Week 8, this may be that game.

KingCamRoyalty is putting up Hotshot-like numbers at Center as a Pure Glass Cleaner too, so this will be a Battle-of-the-Bigs to keep a close eye on.

Game 2: Jazz Gaming (4-4) vs. HEAT Check Gaming (4-5) – June 7 (9:00 PM ET, Watch live on Twitch and Youtube)

Sizing up Jazz Gaming: Utah is coming off a BYE week just like Miami, so both teams have had a chance to get refreshed and retool heading into an important stretch of the season.

After starting the regular season 0-2, Utah has won four of their last six games to get back to .500 on the season and put themselves in position for a playoff spot.

However, both these teams will be fighting hard to secure a Friday night ‘W’, as this match will likely play a significant role in playoff seeding come mid-July – Jazz Gaming is currently seeded 10th, while HEAT Check Gaming is seeded 15th (both teams are separated by just a half-game.)

Key Matchup: There are many players in the NBA 2K League who knew each other before eventually being drafted and playing competitively against (or alongside) one another, but few stories line up the way this one does for Lotty and Yeah I Compete.

The two, along with ARooks of Bucks Gaming, grew up together in Mt. Vernon, NY and have known each other for well over a decade. Now, not only will Lotty and Yeah I Compete be representing each of their squads against the other, the two will likely match up head-to-head as well (Lotty as a Pure Lockdown Defender at Shooting Guard, and Yeah I Compete as a Sharpshooting Playmaker at Point Guard.)

Naturally, if Miami can shut down the Utah Point Guard, Jazz Gaming will be hard pressed to generate offense elsewhere.

***Jazz Gaming’s MOAM did not make the trip to New York for two consecutive weeks before the BYE. It is unclear if he’ll be available to play Friday night against HEAT Check Gaming.
